LSU’s Beta Xi Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon won first place in the Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera Contest.  The chapter was required to develop a video targeting the 18-25 year old age group with a focus on conversion to sale.

Beta Xi will receive a $500 prize at the Pi Sigma Epsilon National Convention for creating the top commercial to sell the Kodak Zi8.  Their video and a blog post of their Kodak experience will be featured in the Kodak 1000 Words blog.

Project Manager Erin Hulin said, “I am so excited and proud that our chapter won the Kodak-PSE Video Camera Contest.  I have to thank the members who participated in filming or editing our video as well as every one of our supporters who viewed our commercial countless times. Your hard work and support paid off. Congratulations Beta Xi!”

Kodak personnel judged eight videos based on creativity, use of appropriate content, accuracy of product information, and number of views in a two week timeframe. Beta Xi’s video can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aeA91MLcdk.

Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) will help students take control of their future February 2, 3, 8, or 9 at 5:00 p.m. in 2174 Patrick F. Taylor Hall.

The event titled, “PSE: It’s Your Future. Take Control,” is a fifteen to thirty minute informational meeting for those interested in joining the Beta Xi chapter.  The chapter will provide food and informational brochures for those in attendance.

Students have distinctive plans for their future and career. The independent mindset of “Generation Y” has created a larger determination in these students to strive for these goals.  “It’s Your Future. Take Control,” shows how PSE involvement provides members the opportunity to obtain the experience they need.  With diverse involvement opportunities, chapter members of any major or interest can take control of their future.

Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) is the only co-ed nationally recognized professional organization in marketing, sales and management.  Established in 1952, Pi Sigma Epsilon gives students opportunities to gain real-world experience in the business profession.

Collegiate members in PSE participate in planning, organizing, leading and implementing a variety of projects ranging from simple fundraising to complex marketing.  They also partake in professional development programs, sessions and activities that help prepare them for their careers.  Members gain a business advantage for life as they grow professionally and learn from experience.

Take control of your future in Pi Sigma Epsilon by attending an informational meeting on February 2, 3, 8, or 9 at 5:00 p.m. in 2174 Patrick F. Taylor Hall.  Dress is casual.

New PR Video!

E-mail Print PDF

This semester, a few PSE members spent countless hours working on a PR video for the Beta Xi chapter. Members planned the content, organized pictures, and gathered footage for the video. None of the committee members had experience filming or editing, so together they learned how to use new software to create the video.  Please view the video by clicking here.

Thank you to everyone who helped Beta Xi plan, film, interview, and edit the video. Special thanks to our friends in Studio 151 for letting the editing team live there throughout their long editing process.
