Professional Development

SME Luncheon

Sales and Marketing Executives of Greater Baton Rouge (SME-GBR) is a professional organization dedicated to the development of individuals in the fields of sales and marketing. Each month, SME-GBR hosts a luncheon. PSE members are invited to help with the registration and set-up process. After then can stay and hear from the top marketers in the Baton Rouge area.

Northwestern Mutual Sales School

northwestern Beta Xi is offering its members the chance to sharpen their sales skills through our first Sales School. It will focus on the sales cycle and target marketing for sponsorship selling. The class will be facilitated by Gavin Filasek and Katherine Dantin, representatives from Northwestern Mutual. Gavin has been with the company for many years as a Financial Representative and the College Unit Director for the Baton Rouge Branch. Katherine is the Director of Recruiting and is responsible for interviewing prospective interns and full-time financial representatives.

Nationals

Pi Sigma Epsilon held its annual National Convention March 24-29 in Norfolk, VA. Members from different chapters across the country gathered to participate in various competitions and workshops.

Lead '09

On April 25, the Beta Xi Chapter hosted its first LEAD 09, an interactive professional development workshop. Attendees learned about various topics including strategic goal setting, networking for the next generation, living leadership daily, and millennials in today's workforce. They also had the opportunity to network with LSU students, University of Phoenix students, and Baton Rouge business professionals.
